About Force 3 Radio
Force 3 Radio began its
journey in 1984 as KCLT 104.9 F.M. in West Helena, Arkansas. KCLT
quickly became the "Dean of All Urban Radio Stations in Arkansas" as it
was one of the very first Black radio stations to come on the air in
Arkansas and still remains on the air to this day. This was made
possible by providing music such as the latest in hip-hop and r&b, blues
on Saturday mornings with The Saturday Morning Fish Fry (which still
comes on every Saturday), and All Gospel Sunday (which still comes on
every Sunday).
In 1991 KAKJ 105.3 F.M. in Marianna, Arkansas would join KCLT and Force
2 Radio was born. KAKJ allowed for Force 2's programming to reach
Forrest City, Wynne, and West Memphis in Arkansas, Tunica in
Mississippi, and parts of Memphis, Tennessee.
2009 saw Force 2 become Force 3 with the addition of WNEV 98.7 F.M. in
Friars Point, Mississippi. WNEV helped fill a music void in the
Mississippi Delta region by giving listeners the very music the Delta is
known for...The Blues. This made WNEV an instant hit and further
established Force 3 Radio as Eastern Arkansas' and Northwest
Mississippi's broadcast leader.
Force 3 Radio is The Force of The Delta because it offers the best many
music formats that specifically cater to the African American
population. From Blues to Gospel to Talk to R&B to Old School to Hip Hop
to Jazz, Force 3 Radio delivers it all. Force 3 Radio is also the home
of local and unsigned artists not heard anywhere else. And the listeners
have responded by making Force 3 number one by a large margin.
Force 3 Radio also offers attractive rates to advertisers seeking to
grow their businesses. Advertisers know when they advertise on Force 3
Radio their products and services will be exposed to thousands of
listeners.
Force 3 Radio thanks the listening audience for over 25 years of
support!
